pumpkin fun!

Yesterday we had two of our favorite people over to carve pumpkins. It is one of Ryan and I 's favorite things to do!

I carved the tiny pumpkin. And while I was disappointed at first to get the teeniest pumpkin, it turned out to be a blessing. Less stuff to scoop and less intimidating of a canvas. I love it. The only thing is that we didn't have any tea lights so no candle shots for my pumpkin yet!

Ryan got the super cool organic pumpkin from the market with the crazy stem. :)

Here is Megan's pumpkin giving Ryan the side eye

Here are all of them together. We didn't have enough candles to get a good lit up picture.

M.I.A.

Hey guys! I have been missing but I have been busy!! I got a job! Woo Hoo! So I travelled to Charlotte North Carolina to do some training and I have been working all week. I love it! The people are awesome and the job is awesome! Also I got to go a craft show for a sweet little girl and sit next to the always lovely Jaymi from Jaymipop! i finally got to trade with her that pup scarf I had up awhile ago. Here is just a super awesome sampling of what she gave me!

A lovely bunch of earrings(the stars on right now!) and knit bows. If you know me you know I love putting things in my hair! And these earrings are the best. She is so super sweet and so is her little girl Audrey and her amazingly nice husband Tom, I was so lucky to sit next to them for the show and chat all day!

Today is the first time I get to relax in about a week. It is amazing. I am watching Cake Boss on Netflix and working on a courderoy jumper! It is good cause it is warm and cozy in my apartment and it is wet and rainy outside.

Tomorrow we are going to carve our jack-o-lanterns!!

GO GIANTS!!

Craft Bar at the Mocfa

I went to the always fun craft bar at the Museum of Craft and Folk Art in San Francisco tonight and had a ball. I made a sock skeleton(here it is ALMOST finished it got a mouth) and a jack-o-lantern stuffie :) You know it is what I love. So I took their project and made it my own. Fun stuff.

Betsy and I named them Mortichai(skele) and Snowflake(pumpkin).

We took them to dinner(empanadas) and now they are sitting finished on my mantel with a real pumpkin as our halloween decorations! Yay! I love the holidays :)

I can't wait for the next Craftbar, they are affiliated with Etsy Labs and they are every month and they are a lot of fun, I wonder what will be in store for November and my favorite, December!

Sew sew sew sew

Keeping my mojo going, I made some curtains. They are just too short. So I am going to add some more different fabric to them. Later.

and I even got a little photo of my prize from the flea market. He is a Christmas-y elf from Japan from the 1940's. I named him Hosimoto. I love him.

Alameda Flea Market

Again, I had a lovely time. It was beautiful weather and I only got one thing(a tiny elf from Japan from the 40ties that will NOT photograph!)

There was tons of stuff we wanted but didn't get like always. Especially these gnomes! German gnomes that were begging me to take them home. They were just a bit pricy for me. I love gnomes and have one in my collection, but would like to build on it. Maybe next month little fella!
