Thanksgiving...

I am thankful for my boyfriend, my dog, my family, and good friends!

Before...

During...

And after with great friends David and Pacolli(Baby LOVES him as you can see. They go way back as they used to live together in Ohio!)

Here is me having too much fun...

So, it wasn't fancy or any of that, but we sure did have fun :)

cute failed ornament...

I may make more of these. This one just didn't come out as cute as I would have liked it, although I am quite smitten with the hat. It is a Loobylu pattern she made last year, here is a link! The pattern is super quick and adorable and I recommend it very much!

After all the fuss, I ended up with these

Plush ornaments. Duh of course I did. I am the only one who didn't think that was going to happen. And now I have 10 naked clay snowmen. :) I will figure out something for them, oh yes, I will figure out something for them.

So, I don't know about you, but I am ready for this 4 day weekend! Ryan and I are going out of town for a couple of much needed days off together out of the city. But first, we are hosting a very exciting tofurkey day at our apartment. It should be cozy, which is good cause I hear its supposed to be COLD.

Maybe I will even get some more crafting done. Top secret present crafts, the best kind except the not sharing part...

Working Working Working

Lots of top secret crafting over here along with some not so secret crafting! Those little clay snowmen are my first attempt at the ornament swap. They still need painted but I am not so sure about them. I have a couple of things I want to do with them before I decide. I am mostly worried about their noses making it twice on a trip with the lovely peeps of the USPS. But, they are not down and out yet!

I have been a pretty good girl this week. I am committing to keeping the kitchen clean as I go when I am cooking. I want the dishes piling up to be out of the ordinary. Also, I have been walking Babydog just as soon as I get home from work and this helps a lot because I don't get lazy and not walk her cause I am comfortable and already sitting down. Also, I have been stopping at the market on my way home from work and that helps a lot too. So I have food to cook, a walked dog, and I have even been trying to get some exercise in there too!

My cozy nook

This is where I have been spending most of my time lately! and that is a peek at something I am working on that I am not sharing :) I have been trying to get a little bit done each day and hopefully my season of giving will be easier and easier. Ryan and I are trying to commit to getting work done. He is drawing and painting and I am knitting or sewing or whatevs. We started our commitment on Sunday and it was hard, but we did it! Hopefully we can keep our momentum up!

This is Baby's cozy little nook. I wish it was sunny when I get home but it is that time of year again. It has cooled down a lot. I need a new winter coat. I am going to look into getting a new one soon. and a scarf, although I could probably knit one if I put my mind to it. Wait, no way I have too many handmade gifts on my list this year to make anything for me :)

Oh, does anyone know a link to a good freezerpaper stencil tutorial? I have an idea I want to try out...
