OH! I forgot to show you our new-to-us couch! We got it the day before we left so not a whole lot of time spent with it. I have snuggled it up for TV since I have been home but it IS a loveseat and I would like to think its full potential is not going to be fulfilled until my love comes back to snuggle with me on it!

What does white-ish blue mean? Ryan got me this awesome vintage mood ring from a cute little Milwaukee shop for $1.75. It is pretty great, and changes color a lot more than any other mood ring I have ever owned. It will be a good thing to have around since we will be away from eachother for the next week+. Good thing I go home to Baby tomorrow too! All in all Milwaukee has been the best! I would love to come back again! I can't wait to get back in my bed!

goodness. still working on this tie. It is not the most fun thing to sew. Especially without an iron. I will have to get creative. I hope to have more progress tomorrow. We are in Milwaukee in just a few days. I am so not prepared. I need to make a list and stick to it. Ryan is no help. Yes he is, he is at work getting money for rent so I can pay it while he is out of town. That is MUCH appreciated. And he is cute and let me cut his hair again too. I love him. We are going to be cute when we are all dressed up. :)

I have been sewing up a storm recently, as shown by my lovely altered Mildred tee. Then I hit a wall. I am mostly focused on getting Ryan and I to Milwaukee! and making sure that Baby is taken care of when we are gone. My mom suggested filling the bathtub up with water and filling my floor with dog food, but I don't know... :)

Today I bought Ryan some suspenders(his request), and some fabric to make a yellow tie. I also found the best tutorial from the Purl Bee: http://www.purlbee.com/fathers-day-ties/ I can't wait to try it out. I may need to get a little more fabric, I bought a half yard and the tutorial needs 3/4 of a yard. I may try to wing it. I will let you know how it turns out.

In other news but kind of the same, I need an iron. This sewing thing requires one. I am too cheap to get it.

52 FINISHED PROJECTS!!

Yay! I always love finished projects! Especially if they put me right on target timewise for my trips!




First is my lovely dress that you saw a million times. it is actually done and has pockets. Pockets people, that doesn't happen all of the time. I like the sash too. It is very mint chocolate chip all together. I would like to make a navy blue one with red accents. I think that would be sailor-y and cute.




Then you have my hey, I already cut this fabric out before and uncovered it while moving books in my closet, but it looks easy so I will sew it up right quick skirt. I really like it. It is pretty high waisted, but I kinda love it. I finished it up while watching Dave Chapelle and Beavis and Butthead. Neither of those were my choice! I do assure you.

Tonight I am going to work on my fleece. I will probably just cut it out. I am tired of the folded up fabric moving from the chair to the bed and such so that I can sit somewhere. :)

I told you it was nice to have a boyfriend that worked somewhere there were flowers! I get them ALL OF THE TIME! be jealous. I also wanted to show you my functioning beaker things I got from the fair. Now they are tiny vases, and the other one holds the spoons and such.

I am going to take a nap and then finish up my dress from yesterday. I am calling it a success even though its not all the way done. It looks cool and like a dress. These are important things to me.

I think I will make one more dress or at least try to before my trip. I am SO EXCITED for my trips!!! I can't wait to eat Dino's pasta and dance at some weddings!

49 Busy Busy

Awww. Sometimes my boyfriend is a sweetie pie pumpkin head. Pretty flowers :)And just when I was beginning to wonder why I keep him around, just kidding! He is my best friend and he is funny that is why I keep him around...



This is how far I am on my dress. I added the midriff and all I need to do now is the skirt and the zipper and then I am on my way! It looks cute on so far, but I didn't want to show everyone until its finished. It is a great neckline!

I picked up this little cutie on a trip to Fairfax with friends. My lovely friend Megan got it for me as an early birthday present. THat is right, you remember now. My birthday is in 1 month and 2 days...

i am having an anxiety day, hope the week turns out to be a sunny one.

So what do you do instead of the projects that you already have? Go out and buy a new one of course! I couldn't help it. I went into the store for other fabric, and ended up looking at the patterns and falling in love. I am working on this now. Next week, back for more. It has been really satisfying following a pattern. I make stuff from my own made up patterns so much, its fun to see that you really can take things STEP by STEP and create something awesome.

gonna be a long weekend! I miss Ryan already! Thankfully I have this lovely little lady to keep me company. And more on the way!

44 DRESS!!!

So, I made this dress. I will get a better pic I swear. But I like the fuzziness of this.



Next time, I will make it with a solid color, probably black or navy blue. or red. Those are my favorites. I will also not put darts in it until I try it on. Cause these ones are messed up. And I am not fixing them for fear of ripping the dress to shreds out of frustration. I will also wish I had a dress form. and Yes those are my socks on the ground :)

Ryan leaves tomorrow morning for a weekend trip away. This weekend is going to be FILLED with sewing. Cause this lady is not allowed to buy anything almost ever again! :)

In dress news, it is driving me crazy and looks slightly like scrubs. I am deciding if I like it or not at this moment. I have to add buttons and I will make my decision. Also, today I joined a gym. I have big plans of going in the morning before work because I am really good at getting up early. Then I will have my evenings to craft. and watch bones without worrying about sweating to the oldies at home. And I will still have my babydog walk and hopefully I can shed some of these unwanted pounds that are sneaking up on me. No that is not a cookie in my hand...anymore....
